St Peter’s to Charlottetown - used a shuttle service

Spent the afternoon walking around Charlottetown’s waterfront. Yes walking. Picked up a few things. Had another lobster roll for dinner and then back to the hotel for a good night sleep.

As I type I am in the air on my way home. One of the pictures I am posting is a shot of  the items I was so happy I packed, the bandaids are missing. I used them as a preventive measure and it worked, only one little blister on my baby toe that a strategically placed bandaid took care of.

Another picture I am posting is of a red glass heart that my friend Susan Brice gave me to carry in my pocket as I walked.

The tag line for the Island Walk is “Come back different”. Can’t say I am different, but I did learn something over the 5 days of solitary walking, especially on the confederation trail.

Stop looking at the path up ahead because most often it was long with no end in sight, instead look around you at all the flora and fauna, the intriguing shapes of trees, read the information callouts, listen to the sounds around you, and turn around to see where you’ve been. Hope to take that with into my daily life. Maybe I am back different

I was asked several times was I having fun. Fun for me is music bingo on a Friday night, so no this was not fun, but it was satisfying, enjoyable, but most of all rewarding.

Love you guys and happy to be home

Debbie
