This day started off again with a great breakfast. The hosts at the Rustico Golf and Country Club treated me like a celebrity. Got to meet their little girl, and they sent me off with some banana bread and a chicken wrap for my lunch.
Last night I made the decision that I would take advantage of the transport service and travel with my luggage to my next accommodation, Shaw's Inn and Cottages. This would cut the first 8kms off my walk that were going to be an all-road walk. I did alot of that yesterday afternoon and I didn't want to repeat that.
So happy with that decision. I started my walk at Brackley Beach and walked the Gulf Shore Parkway. It reminded me of the Lochside Trail. It runs parallel to the highway, and pretty close to the shoreline
It was a windy day, slight over cast, but warm. It was a no hat day.
This section had lots of beaches, dunes, harbours, lakes etc to check out and with the extra time I had I spent time taking advantage of lookouts and benches along way. The red cliffs and sandy beaches were abundant. Not a lot of people at this time. I am told that their season really doesn't start for about another week or two.
Hope the wildlife have done all their crossing for the day
So, no speeding ticket here, but it kept flicking my speed back and forth from 5 to 7, does that mean one foot was going faster than the other one?
Still signs of the damage of the hurricane that happened a few years ago.
One of the bonuses of being the only person around is that you can sing along with your playlist out loud because no one around to hear you and you can break out with a few dance steps because there is no one around to see you.
I was worried about black flies and mosquitos as I had heard they were bad, but so far only had one black fly that was a bit of a nuisance. Touch wood.
And I think Air Force One flew over while as I was walking. First 2 fighter jets flew over, then shortly after a huge jet followed that wasn't a commercial airliner.
.

Well, I should be calling it a night. Early morning and a long one tomorrow.
My Lobster dish today was a lobster roll.
Still no answer to the meaning of life.
Good night, talk tomorrow.
Hi, So before you left I was trying to remember the name of the beach that I loved (It was a fiasco when I visited with our Union on a big tour bus). But I think you have a photo of the lighthouse that is right there at the entrance. Do you remember the name of the beach? I should know it, but I forgot. Isn't it gorgeous there? I have a ton of photos, but never remembered the name. - Kelly (For some reason, I can't login properly, so I am anonymous.)
